Artist Statement

What makes me want to be come a media artist is the power of the media. In today's world everyone is relying to get their news from the media. That could be from the internet, TV, news paper, or the radio. The radio is a medium that I had worked on before as a sound board engineer at Cosmos FM which is aired under WNYE on 91.5. I am not sure on what I want to do in the future, but my goal is not to stop there.My curiosities lie on the Internet. The invention of Facebook, Twitter and Youtube has made me want to learn more about the Internet. From my past and current studies at Hunter college, I have grown an interest for public relations and advertising. I believe it is a fun and hard field to get into but it is definitely something that I would be glad to spend time on. Filming is another field that I admire and would like to get involved with. My favorite films would be The Lord of the Rings, 21, Wanted and Fightclub. I believe that these films have achieved their goal and any film's goal, which is to capture the viewers attention and travel him to a different world while watching the movie.
