Saving Private Ryan opening scene description
The scene starts with a close up to the use flag, then it moves to the next shot with a close up to the characters feet and tilt up to his head. Then a wide angle all in focus shot to show the family moving. Then we continuously have shots of the family back and forth with the camera moving with the characters. Then we get a 30 degree wide shot that shows the entire family with the character moving. In this long shot the camera zooms in to the character face to show his expression. Then we get shots of the American flag and the french flag. Then back to the character to highlight the emotions. Then we get a shot zoomed out with the camera moving by using pan with the character. it starts low then it goes up. Next shot goes with the a normal lens that has the entire picture in focus. This helps it to be slow. After that we get low angle shots to emphasize the location. These shots are establishing shots because they are showing the crosses for the viewer to get an idea where this action takes place. Then we get a close up of the character meanwhile the camera is slowly zooming in to his eyes. Also to mention the entire scene, as most of WWII movies, use faded color that makes the scene look grey. It gives an odd feeling. It is like the sky is covered with clouds to create a dramatic and depressive scene.

Media 180 experience
The class did fulfill my expectation for the most part. The material covered what I was expecting and the work we did was what I was looking forward to and I did learn new things. The highlights of the class where the presentations from work of other bloggers as well from the classmates. Having a blogger present was exciting because seeing a successful blogger in person is something you rarely find. The parts that where annoying and frustrating in my point of view where of course the quiz's and tests because they where very demanding in high details. The second quiz was like taking a midterm.I suggest multiple choices to be the entire quiz's or short answers where we can pick 3 out of 5 questions. Another thing I found frustrating was the us of Mac. I personally hate computers that have to do with apple, even though I love their devices. It was sure good to learn about it, but it slowed me down a lot on my work such as photoshop. I believe the class was great, there are not much to improve except the test process. The instructor was great at giving feedback and always looked out for improvement and that helped a lot for cases that I felt that I was left behind. Other than the testing this class had been a great experience.
film project
The film project was a great experience, it is something that I have done for the first time. With the team we performed and filmed a film about something weird and at the same time humorous. The most difficult part is coming up with the idea. The reason to that is because everyone in wanted to do something good that everyone can find it to be nice. Editing was interesting because we find out that the more we looking at the video the more we wanted to add stuff. That was a great learning experience because if we had to do it again we would know what extra we should of added. One thing I have also realized is how advanced technology is getting and how easy it is for non-experts to be able to do Hollywood effects.

Visit at the Museum of the Moving Image
From my visit in the museum of the moving image, I came across a live TV control room. What I saw was TV monitors and keyboards/soundboards which are used to control sound and also channels from which the cameras have captured. What surprised was that people who work behind the scenes in live sports game must go through a lot of stress. There is a lot of work going on in very short time. I always wandered how they manage to get extreme shots so fast for the audience to see the player's expression. It seems that the director is shooting a live film with his team where there is no script and the way they put sound up (sound of the fans for example)and the images they show, the team in its own ways tells a story.I was impressed because from my own experience in live radio this seems a lot harder.

Artist Statement
What makes me want to be come a media artist is the power of the media. In today's world everyone is relying to get their news from the media. That could be from the internet, TV, news paper, or the radio. The radio is a medium that I had worked on before as a sound board engineer at Cosmos FM which is aired under WNYE on 91.5. I am not sure on what I want to do in the future, but my goal is not to stop there. My curiosities lie on the Internet. The invention of Facebook, Twitter and Youtube has made me want to learn more about the Internet. From my past and current studies at Hunter college, I have grown an interest for public relations and advertising. I believe it is a fun and hard field to get into but it is definitely something that I would be glad to spend time on. Filming is another field that I admire and would like to get involved with. My favorite films would be The Lord of the Rings, 21, Wanted and Fightclub. I believe that these films have achieved their goal and any film's goal, which is to capture the viewers attention and travel him to a different world while watching the movie.
